Poets&Quants for Executives Features the Rick Goings Institute's Vision for Leadership Education

Poets&Quants for Executives featured The Rick Goings Institute for Management and Executive Leadership in a new article highlighting the Institute’s vision for a different kind of executive education.
The story explores how RGI is being built around a central leadership problem: senior executives now face decisions shaped by AI, geopolitical instability, institutional mistrust, and rapid technological change. In that environment, technical expertise and analysis remain necessary, but they are no longer sufficient. Leaders need judgment.
RGI will launch programming this fall as part of Rollins College’s broader Innovation Triangle initiative. The Institute will focus on strategic foresight, system vitality, and civic stewardship, preparing leaders to think clearly about consequence, responsibility, trust, and long-term enterprise leadership.
We are pleased that Poets&Quants for Executives recognized the purpose behind RGI’s work: preparing leaders for decisions that cannot be solved by expertise alone. By bringing together business practice, liberal arts, AI fluency, and peer learning, RGI is developing an executive education model for leaders whose responsibilities now exceed the tools they were trained with.
